A computer hacker finds himself the target of a vengeful victim of his crimes.
Grimmfest Says: Tom Botchii, director of ARTIK, makes a welcome return to Grimmfest with this sour and savage exploration of the corrosive nature of revenge. Taking as its starting point that old ‘first dig two graves’ maxim, the film combines bone-crunchingly brutal high-octane cat-and-mouse vigilante action with a socially-conscious, lucid and timely examination of the ways in which data fraud is anything but a ‘victimless crime’. Gradually filling in the two protagonists’ respective backstories as the narrative progresses, Botchii plays around with viewer sympathies in deft and sneaky fashion, until it becomes increasingly uncertain who to root for, even as the confrontations grow ever more gruellingly violent and extreme, building to a final all-out pitched battle that nobody is going to walk away from unscathed.
