This year’s Grimm grows ever closer, and as always we have a whole load of guests for you to spend a lot of fun time with!
Aside from the screenings you’ll have opportunities to chat to them, mingle with them, have a cheeky drink or two and really have the chance to get to know the people behind this year’s incredible selection of films and that’s the beauty of Grimmfest.
Let’s take a look at who’s joining us this year… (the list will be updated so keep an eye out!)
Thursday 9th October
Our Gala Opening Night sees the World Premiere of PAST LIFE – from the Grimmfest team of Simeon Halligan and Rachel Richardson-Jones! – and Aneurin Barnard (Dunkirk, Time Stalker), Jeremy Piven (Entourage, Mr. Selfridge, Heat)TBC and Tim McInnerny (BLACKADDER, GLADIATOR II) will be in attendance for this twisted tale of regression therapy, repressed memory and mental manipulation.

From the nicely played, deliberately silly dudebro horror comedy WEEKEND AT THE END OF THE WORLD, we welcome director Gille Klabin as well as actors Cameron Fife and Clay Elliot.

Friday 10th October
Friday brings our showing of stunning sociopolitical reimagination of vampire lore LANDLORD and director Remington Smith will be with us for this one.

I SEE THE DEMON, the psychological tour de force from director Jacob Lees Johnson, and we welcome him and lead actress Alexis Zollicoffer for the film’s international premiere.

From TRIBE, a new take on the found footage sub genre, we welcome director Dan Asma and actress Justina Biosah, who will be with us for the films international premiere.

FRANKIE MANIAC WOMAN sees the return to Grimmfest of director Pierre Tsigaridis (TWO WITCHES, TRAUMATIKA) along with lead actress Dina Silva to present this confrontational and cathartic tale of ferocious female empowerment.

Saturday 11th October
Another Grimm comeback this year is Tom Botchii (ARTIK) bringing his film SYPHON, a sour and savage exploration of the corrosive nature of revenge.

Prolific Japanese director Kenichi Ugana will be here with the very gory, very funny, completely nuts INCOMPLETE CHAIRS.

Brutal, black-hearted, morally slippery and gleefully mean-spirited film DEVIANT is sure to get people talking and director Daniel Caniero will be in attendance.

Tim Connery will be in town on Saturday night with anthology THE DRIFTLESS, his unexpectedly lyrical dark hymn to the MidWest.

Sunday 12th October
Director Manu Herrera, lead actresses Maggie Garcia, Patricia Penalver, Eve Ryan, Elena Gallardo as well as prosthetics/makeup designer Pedro De Diego and composer Joan Martorell will be with us for the World Premiere of LILY’S RITUAL – an unapologetically old school shocker, which delights in taking tried and tested genre tropes and tweaking and twisting them in unexpected fashion.

KOMBUCHA is a creepy, disturbing, look at the workplace environment and director Jake Myers will be with us.

From WORMTOWN, which balances sociopolitical satire with gross-out body horror, we have director Sergio Pinheiro, director of photography Roy Rossovich along with producers Andy Myer and Aaron Mack.
