ATTENDING GRIMMFEST – SURVIVAL GUIDE

October 5, 2026 Simeon Halligan

As we near the beginning of GRIMMFEST 2026 (8-11 Oct, Odeon Great Northern, Manchester), it’s time to share some key info for everyone attending the event, to help make sure you have a great time with us, without any hiccups or issues.

Worth a quick read before you arrive, to ensure you deal with the boring stuff quickly and get on with having great horror fun at Grimmfest 2026!

FILMS START AT THE ADVERTISED TIMES!

All films and screening events take place at the advertised times. We do not screen trailers or adverts, so please do arrive before the advertised screening time, allowing plenty of time to get seated and ready for the performance.

CERTIFICATION – AGE RESTRICTIONS

All our screenings are generally 15 or 18 Certificate. Please check the website for certification details on all individual movie screenings RIGHT HERE (Click on each individual film for full details including certification)

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

For the health and safety of all attendees, personal belongings must be removed from the auditorium between performances. Because screenings alternate between Screen 11 and Screen 12, items cannot be left unattended on seats. Please keep your belongings with you at all times; all items are brought into the venue and left entirely at your own risk.

PARKING AND TRAVEL

TRAVEL DETAILS TO THE GREAT NORTHERN. (Trams, trains and car parking). Please note, unfortunately the main Great Northern CAR PARK 2 (Under the Odeon) is currently closed and is inaccessible. CAR PARK 1 (Drive up the spiral entrance) is still open. This parking can be expensive, so we recommend ……

SIP Duke Street, M3 4JL. About 8 minutes’ walk from ODEON Great Northern.
12 hours: around £7
24 hours: around £8
Much cheaper than Great Northern.

NAVIGATING THE VENUE

Please note the main shutter entrance to the ODEON GREAT NORTHERN is not currently accessible, please enter via the Deansgate Mews doors, opposite TABITHA’S COFFEE shop.

When you arrive at the Odeon Great Northern, take the escalator to the 1st floor and head to the Grimmfest Box Office, next to Guest Services. Here you can buy tickets, check screening details and pick up merchandise.

All Grimmfest screenings take place in Screens 11 and 12, in the upper foyer at the back of the Odeon. Our box office team can point you in the right direction.

Many of our premiere screenings include Q&As with the filmmakers and stars. If a screening includes a Q&A, this will be announced on screen before the presentation and listed on our website and in the printed programme.

As many of our guests travel internationally, occasionally circumstances beyond our control mean an advertised guest may be unable to attend. We’ll always do our best to keep you updated.
